3. PRAC001
(Practicum) is a 7 unit course for HRM fourth year students and is a
requirement for graduation. The student is free to choose on what hotel/ restaurant
he wants to be part of. However, the Practicum/ HRM Coordinator should approve
the establishment first. The goal is to finish the 800 hours in the specific
time given.
4. The recommendation
letter should be prepared by the student (signed by the OJT/ HRM Coordinator
and the Dean of the School of Business and Accountancy) before visiting the
company/hotel/restaurant. Two (2) copies should be prepared: one for the
company and the other is for the student’s file. The receiving copy of the
student should be photocopied and be given to the HRM custodian for filing
purposes. The recommendation letter format, along with other OJT-related documents, can be downloaded HERE. The guidelines for the OJT and Practicum Report is also included in the same link.
